Kacie Ehinger 2023

Kacie Ehinger

Kacie Ehinger was hired as the 13th Head Volleyball Coach in Nova Southeastern history in April 2022 and has continued to build the Sharks into one of the Sunshine State Conference’s premier programs.

In 2025, NSU ranked second in the SSC in blocks, continuing its dominance at the net. Over the past two seasons, the Sharks have broken four blocking records and posted the second-best totals in four additional blocking categories. The program also achieved its highest fall team GPA in school history for the second consecutive year and earned AVCA Team Academic Award recognition.

Ehinger’s student-athletes continue to earn national recognition. Taylor Stockman became the first player in program history to earn 4x All-SSC, 3x All-Region, and 3x AVCA All-American honors. Olivia Aniol became just the third player in school history to record 400 career blocks and the first player in program history to earn 2x First-Team All-SSC and 2x First-Team All-Region honors.

Ehinger earned her 100th career victory at the start of the 2024 season and secured her 75th win at NSU in 2025, ranking third all-time in wins by a head coach in program history.

In 2024, Ehinger guided the Sharks to their second consecutive 20-win season and fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Brittany Landrum became the program’s all-time leader in career blocks, while Aniol set the single-season block assist record and earned AVCA All-American honorable mention honors. Following the season, Ehinger was selected as the D-2 USA Volleyball Head Coach, leading a national roster on an international showcase tour in Brazil.

During the 2023 season, Ehinger led the Sharks to a 20-win campaign and the program’s third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, including another upset victory over top-ranked Tampa in five sets. Nadia Lindner became NSU’s first AVCA First-Team All-American and was named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, AVCA South Region Player of the Year, and D2 CCA South Region Player of the Year. Ehinger also coached Taylor Stockman to AVCA All-American honors.

In her first season (2022), Ehinger guided the Sharks to a 19-12 record and back to the NCAA Tournament, highlighted by a five-set upset of No. 1 Tampa. Notable postseason awards included Taylor Stockman earning SSC Freshmen of the Year and AVCA All-American Honorable Mention honors.

Prior to NSU, Ehinger spent three seasons at Baldwin Wallace, compiling a 56-22 record while mentoring 11 All-OAC selections and 28 All-Academic honorees. She also has coaching experience at Akron, Lamar, Marist, Siena Heights, Adrian, and Defiance.

A former team captain at Adrian College, Ehinger was inducted into the Adrian College Athletics Hall of Fame (Class of 2020). She holds a Master’s degree in Education-Sports Science from Defiance and a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Adrian College.
